Steering

Front axle integrated hydraulic steering cylinder. Steering system: Hydraulically powered orbital type, no mechanical linkage, with an engine mounted vane type power steering pump with a 6gpm flow control cover

Rear Axle

Solid tube type 5" diameter trailer axle, 25,000lbs (11,340kg) capacity, with oil filtered wheel bearings. Front Brakes:

Air Brakes

Air over hydraulic master cylinder. Service brakes hydraulic multi-disc wet. Parking brakes; spring applied air-released disc, mounted on the front drive shaft. Service brakes; 16.5" x 7" drum, S-cam air brakes. Parking brakes; Spring anchor-lok. Tires: 385/165R X 22.5 highway tread. Wheels: disc type 10 hole, front and rear are interchangeable.

Hydraulic system

130cc pressure compensated axial piston pump, system pressure set at 2300psi (160bar) Hydraulic tank; 80 gallon (300liter), closed to atmosphere 5psi (0.35bar) positive pressure system, to prevent moisture ingression. Large 27" x 36" (68.6cm x 91.4cm) oil cooler, with large 2 1/2in. (6.35cm) plumbing and a large 24" (61cm) dia. temperature controlled hydraulic fan.

Large Capacity Hopper

Dimensions are are 120" (3,05cm) wide, with struck capacity of 4.0 cubic yards (3,05 cubic meters).

Optional Folding Rear Hopper

Rear hopper is a folding wing or bat wing type. Hopper folds to increase capacity when disconnected from dump truck and speeds up clean out.

Heavy Duty Belts

Two heavy duty 30" (76cm) 2 ply conveyor belts with 35º troughing rollers.

Automatic Belt Control

Belts speed (on/off) is controlled by ultrasonic position sensors measuring chip level in the spread hopper. Belt speed is proportional to aggregate demand.

Spread Hoppers

Infinitely variable from 10' (3.04m) to 20' (6.09m), capacity 4 cubic yards (3.05 cubic meters) combine spread hoper total. Chipper carries 8 cubic yards all total independent of the truck supply. Optional 1' (0.305m) extensions; left & right for an overall 12' to 22' spread width.

Spread Rate Control

HSLA steel construction tandem hoppers extend hydraulicaly from 10' to 20'. Vertical aggregate delivery and wide mouth hopper opening, eliminate the need for a spread roll. Computerized hydraulic cam shaft controls the gate opening. Air cylinders on individual gates provide instant on-off to pre-determined opening width controlled by cam shaft.

Augers

14" abrasion resistant auger moves materials to the outside gates. No agitator of spread roll to wear or limit production. Oversized objects or material pass through the largest opening in the industry. The tandem design allows for straight line starts and minimal aggregate waste.

Hitch

Hydraulic positive non binding, latch and release controlled by operator. Optional hydraulic hitch height adjustment from operators station.

Electrical system

12Vdc 160amp belt drive alternator w/internal regulator. Two 12Vdc Group 31-MHD / 950cca batteries. Computer Rate Control (CRC), Sauer-Danfoss Plus1 CAN network communication, w/automotive style wire harnesses.

Wiring Harnesses

All electrical connectors, & controllers IP67 rated (pressure wash-down rated). Any non IP67 rated connectors are crimped and soldered to prevent corrosion of terminals and copper wiring. Field replaceable automotive style wiring harnesses.

Operator display

Advanced color TFT 240 x 400 pixel, to display fuel level, hydraulic temperature, engine temperature, engine RPM, hour meter, charging system voltage. System diagnostics displayed on the color TFT display: Battery voltage low/high, computer node communication okay, pictorial display of switch position, all sensor voltage or pulse (frequency) values, hydraulic & engine over-temp log, hydraulic oil level low log.

Operator Station

Single seat operator station The operator station hydraulically moves left/right and can be used on the left, right side or anywhere in between.

Individual Gate Control

Gates are controlled in 1 foot increments individually from the operators station. Belt operation selection; OFF/Auto/Auto w/Master Switch ON. Optional: High output low current draw light package.

Comfort and Access ability

Dash panel is directly in from of the operator. All chip spreading function control switches are on a control panel accessible while the operators arm is on the right side arm rest. Seat adjustments; fore & aft, backrest angle, and height. Accelerator/Brake pedal adjustment; fore and aft. Steering wheel adjustment; 30deg of angle.

Designed by Mechanics

Easy access air filter for daily inspection. Inspection door next to air filter for engine oil access. Engine hood tilts forward to access entire engine. The guys who design it are the same guys who run them and work on them.
